I'm trying to get a charging/PC hookup cable.

I use a iPod at work. Since it has a cover on it I can not tell what it is. The ABOUT in the settings is no help. It just states that it is an iPod.

One end of the cable should have the standard USB hookup for your PC. The end that hooks to the iPod looks like an android type plug.

The case that's around the pod has a symbol of a USB hookup on it. Could it be a mini USB hookup?

What type of cable should I get?

Start with Identify your iPod model - Apple Support.

If the connector is similar in size to mini-USB then it will be a lightning connector that you want.

Thanks for the reply, but it is not a lighting connector. The lighting connector has a male end on it. This iPod requires a female, like I said, it looks like an android connector would fit it.

What model is the iPod? Is the case also an extended battery pack? Apple iPods charge using the 30 pin dock connector, the lightning connector, or via the headphone socket for some models of iPod shuffle.
